Andy Smith-Williams is an abstract artist living and working in London, UK. He is also
a multi-award winning Industrial and Garden designer. He pulls from these disciplines to influence his process and painting.
Starting with spontaneous, intuitive layers and sometimes collage, the initial energetic layers - full of unpredictability and colour guide the process. Unexpected junctures are formed that invite reflection.
As Smith-Williams adds layers and geometric forms containing texture and detail, drawing the viewer in for deeper contemplation, he unlocks the essence of each piece and the relationship to landscape, music and the
world around him.
